Title: A song about...arcade collecting!
Post by: DanAmrich on May 02, 2010, 10:06:46 am
Hey all. I spend my spare time making video game parody songs with my friend Jude Kelley (http://arcadenation.blogspot.com/) (he of the Star Wars controller hack (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_jude.shtml) and previous CAX showings of Gauntlet II). We finally finished our love letter to classic coin-ops, based on the pop-punk hit "1985" by Bowling for Soup (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K38xNqZvBJI), and we released it online for free a few days ago:

Palette-Swap Ninja: "Arcade Gaming Shrine" (http://paletteswapninja.com/2010/04/30/new-song-arcade-gaming-shrine/)

Go to the Songs page to download that track (and any others that look interesting) for free. Hopefully it'll bring a smile to your face.

Hehe - I encourage you all to give it a listen -- it really put a smile on my face!

Dan, you took the same kind of feeling I get at the show (once I settle down and try to enjoy it for a second) and packed it into a song ... thanks a TON!  Very fun!

Happy gaming,
Ken

And now the silly part: We shot a video for the song at CAX 2010!
