Just a quick note about California Extreme 2007: the room block is nearly full.  If you are interested in a hotel room, contact the Hilton San Jose at (408) 287-2100.  Ask for the "California Extreme" block or group code CAL, and you'll get a monster discount -- the regular rate of $160 per night becomes $90.

You can book online at the group rate by going to

Then, select the dates you want and where it says "Group/Convention Code" type CAL.

This should unlock the group rate on the next screen.

As a follow-up, a few premium rooms are available at a rate of $120 per night.  These rooms include a free breakfast and cocktail hour, and are still less than the normal rate.  The $90 rooms are sold out.
